We recently presented Raiffeisenbank Region Glatt in the canton of Zurich with the "Excellence@Work Award" – our award for employer attractiveness in Switzerland. Our employer award recognizes companies that have particularly motivated employees according to our employee survey.
This means that employee motivation of at least 80 out of 100 index points is achieved, with a participation rate of at least 80% of the workforce.
At the end of 2025, Raiffeisenbank Region Glatt conducted its first employee survey with ValueQuest as an external provider of employee surveys and immediately positioned itself well above the industry benchmark with an outstanding level of employee motivation.
As a provider of employee surveys in Switzerland, ValueQuest has an extensive benchmark pool of financial service providers and, above all, Raiffeisen banks.
Company profile: Raiffeisenbank Region Glatt
- Locations: 3 in Wallisellen, Bassersdorf, and Effretikon
- Employees: 53
- Customers: 16,600, including 9,500 as cooperative members
High participation in the employee survey
50 out of 53 employees took part in the ValueQuest employee survey. In Switzerland, the average response rate for employee surveys is between 75 and 85 percent. ValueQuest is aiming for a target response rate of at least 80 percent.
A high response rate is a strong indication of a good feedback and trust culture. It also shows that employees have confidence in the survey process and in Raiffeisenbank.

Employee motivation as a key factor
In ValueQuest's motivation model, the core measure of employee motivation arises from the interaction of two dimensions: need fulfillment (employee satisfaction) and employee commitment. Need fulfillment describes the extent to which employees' basic expectations and needs are met. Employee commitment manifests itself in emotional attachment, loyalty, and active engagement with the company.
Raiffeisenbank Region Glatt achieved very high scores in both dimensions. This indicates that a solid basis for employee satisfaction is created by meeting employee needs. The results show a very positive overall situation: 70% of employees achieve a motivation score of 75 index points or higher and are therefore extremely motivated in their work. At the same time, the bank's management enjoys an exceptionally high level of trust, which indicates a positive management culture and quality.
According to the employee survey, 86% of employees are active ambassadors for the bank. This means that they are proud of their employer, identify with it, and represent it positively to the outside world, which contributes greatly to its attractiveness as an employer.
Key topics for greater employee satisfaction
Leadership: The high score is clear evidence of the quality of leadership in practice. Positive leadership ratings have been shown to correlate strongly with employee motivation, commitment, and retention. The results show that managers at Raiffeisenbank Region Glatt are perceived as consistent, credible, and supportive.
Inclusion & responsibility (88 index points): The excellent feedback on inclusion and responsibility in practice shows that employees feel valued as part of Raiffeisenbank. The working environment is one in which employees feel confident about expressing their opinions, showing initiative, and developing solutions together. This not only boosts employee satisfaction, but also promotes emotional attachment to the organization and employee commitment.
Teamwork (89 index points): Good team values are closely related to motivation, job satisfaction, and willingness to perform. The excellent result indicates that employees experience teamwork as trusting, supportive, and goal-oriented. The teams thus act as important amplifiers for employee engagement and commitment, as they promote belonging, psychological security, and effective knowledge transfer.
We would like to congratulate Raiffeisenbank Region Glatt on receiving this employer award. This success clearly demonstrates how a systematic employee survey can be a decisive lever for increasing employee motivation, satisfaction, and commitment.
