To receive the Employer Award, companies must achieve an employee motivation score of at least 80 out of 100 index points and a participation rate of at least 80 percent. Raiffeisenbank Glarnerland met all selection criteria and, based on the results of its employee survey, outperformed the benchmark for comparable Raiffeisen banks.
High participation as a sign of a strong culture of trust
34 out of 36 employees participated in the employee survey. A 94 percent participation rate is a strong indication of an open feedback culture and employees’ trust in the survey process. High participation rates show that employees are willing to share their opinions and actively help shape the future of their employer. At the same time, they underscore the credibility of the results and provide a solid foundation for further organizational development.
Employee motivation is significantly above the benchmark
With a score of 81 index points, Raiffeisenbank Glarnerland achieved a motivation score that is significantly higher than the Raiffeisen banks’ benchmark of 76 index points. The results indicate an overall very positive starting point in terms of employee satisfaction, commitment, and emotional attachment.
The high proportion of brand ambassadors is particularly encouraging: 82 percent of employees identify strongly with their work and their employer and represent the bank positively both internally and externally. These employees contribute significantly to a strong corporate culture, a strong focus on customers, and the company’s long-term success.
Motivational Factors: What Motivates Employees?
Inclusion & Responsibility (88 index points)
The highest-rated category shows that employees perceive Raiffeisenbank Glarnerland as a responsible and appreciative employer. The results indicate that a work environment has been created in which employees feel respected and are empowered to take on responsibility. Such conditions strengthen both motivation and long-term commitment to the company.
Executive (87 index points)
The excellent ratings given to line managers underscore the high quality of the leadership culture in practice. Research and real-world experience show that leadership is one of the most significant factors influencing motivation, engagement, and employee retention. The results indicate that managers are perceived as supportive, trustworthy, and credible.
The Strongest Motivational Factors
Three factors have a particularly strong impact on employee motivation at Raiffeisenbank Glarnerland: the bank’s clear strategic direction and its implementation in day-to-day operations; the bank’s commitment to retaining employees over the long term; and its commitment to acting responsibly toward society and the environment.
These factors show that motivation does not stem solely from attractive working conditions. Equally important are credible leadership, a clear sense of purpose in daily work, and the confidence that one is part of an organization that acts responsibly.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Raiffeisenbank Glarnerland on winning the “Excellence@Work Award.” The results clearly demonstrate how a clear strategic direction, strong leadership, and a commitment to responsibility can create a work environment in which employees remain engaged over the long term, take on responsibility, and feel connected to their employer.
