About Louis Preisig
Louis studied sociology and data science at the University of Zurich (UZH) and has been working at ValueQuest as a data analyst since 2022. Born in Appenzell, he supports our team mainly in the programming of surveys and data analysis. Louis is a statistics genius. Louis feels particularly at home in statistics. Louis prefers to work with R, a versatile software for data analysis and evaluation.
In his spare time, Louis is a keen sportsman, from traditional Japanese martial arts to fitness and jogging. As he can't exercise afterwards, he prefers to spend the rest of his time reading books of all kinds, especially fantasy, history and philosophy. As a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, whose stories have accompanied him since childhood, Louis has a special interest in the European Middle Ages and the myths and legends associated with them.

Louis' favorite recipe: Caprese pasta

This is how it's done
- Preparation: Cut the garlic, shallots and basil into small pieces. Halve the cherry tomatoes.
- Meanwhile, sauté the garlic and shallots in a frying pan over a medium heat in a little oil for approx. 3 mins.
- Add the cherry tomatoes, balsamic cream, vegetable stock, basil, salt and pepper, stir and cook for approx. 2 to 3 mins. Add butter towards the end of the cooking time (optional).
- Pour the pasta and sauce into a large bowl, tear the mozzarella into pieces and sprinkle on top. Sprinkle with pine nuts (optional).

- 800 g pasta (or ravioli, tortellini, etc.)
- 160 g shallots
- at least 2 cloves of garlic (more is also possible)
- 50 ml balsamic cream
- 10 g basil
- 250 g mozzarella
- 250 g cherry tomatoes
- 200 ml vegetable stock
