Congratulations: Baumann & Cie, Banquiers receives our Excellence@work employer award. The Basel-based private bank with a 100-year tradition is thus one of the best employers in Switzerland in 2025. 

Swiss employers have to work hard for this award: Only those who achieve a participation rate of at least 80 percent and a motivation score of over 80 points are awarded the Excellence@Work seal. Baumann & Cie is therefore one of the top 10 percent of all Swiss employers in the financial sector that we examine in our employee surveys. In May 2025, we presented the award to the shareholder-managed private bank Baumann & Cie.

Baumann & Cie is an independent private bank based in Basel with offices in Zurich and Olten. The traditional Basel-based bank took part in our employee survey for the second time and has improved once again since the last survey in 2023. This shows that At Baumann & Cie, employee feedback is taken seriously and used in a targeted manner to further develop the work culture. Particularly noteworthy are the strong management culture, the fairness in dealing with employees and the strong team spirit with which Baumann impresses as an employer. These aspects make Baumann & Cie a particularly attractive employer within the Swiss banking world.

What our employer award measures: Our employer award is based on a scientifically sound employee survey. Baumann & Cie is assessed within our benchmark for the banking sector. Using our questionnaire, employees assess the organizational framework conditions and provide insight into their personal attitude to work, including employee satisfaction and motivation as well as key aspects of the working environment such as teamwork, salary and development prospects.
