About Kathrin Neumüller

Her first contact with Switzerland dates back to 2009: immediately after graduating from high school, Kathrin received a scholarship from the zis Foundation and spent several weeks with mountain farmers in Graubünden. There, the native Bavarian devoted herself to her great passion - the language and its importance for culture - and researched Romansh. Her encounters with the people and her experiences in the mountains left a lasting impression on her and were among the reasons why she moved back to Switzerland permanently eight years later.

After studying at the Universities of St. Andrews and Cambridge, Kathrin completed her doctorate in economics at the University of St. Gallen. She gained international work experience at the United Nations in Cuba and the Bahamas as well as in strategy consulting.

Kathrin has been with ValueQuest since May 2023 - initially as a project manager for employee surveys and now as Co-Managing Director with responsibility for business development and marketing. In addition to her work at ValueQuest, Kathrin is a university lecturer in the MBA program at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), where she teaches strategic marketing management and corporate management. It is important to her to build bridges between science and practice, so that research results can be applied in practice for companies.

In her private life, she is inspired by many things: jogging through the Zurich Oberland, long hikes on the Way of St. James or discovering new cultures and cuisines. For her, good food means quality of life - especially Spanish Pata Negra ham and a glass of Ribera del Duero. She also lives her passion for writing outside of work: with publications on topics such as
decent workplaces, employee inspiration or the role of AI in HR.

She is an invited keynote speaker and author of specialist books, including for the Springer publishing housethe SME magazine and Penso.

Kathrin's favorite recipe: Pan con Tomate

At ValueQuest, we don't believe in run-of-the-mill feedback solutions. Every organization is different. That's why we develop surveys that are tailored to your specific requirements - whether you are an SME or a large corporation. Good collaboration and inspiration don't just happen at your desk, but sometimes also over lunch or dinner. That's why we not only share our expertise here, but also our favorite recipes from the ValueQuest team.

This is how it's done

  • 10 minutes
  1. Cut the bread into slices approx. 1 cm thick and toast lightly on the grill or in a pan until golden brown and crispy.

  2. Cut the peeled garlic clove in half and grate the clove over the warm bread. Only lightly - it should be aromatic, not spicy. Tip: Roughen the bread slightly with a knife beforehand so that the garlic and later the tomato adhere better and release their aroma more intensely.

  3. Cut the ripe tomatoes in half and rub the cut surface directly over the bread with a vegetable grater until the flesh has been absorbed and only the skin remains (discard this).

  4. Drizzle generously with high-quality (Spanish) olive oil and sprinkle with a little sea salt.

  5. Use Jamón Ibérico or Manchego cut into triangles as a garnish or topping. Manchego is a Spanish sheep's milk cheese from the La Mancha region - the same area where Don Quixote comes from.

¡Buen provecho!
